In the 15th century it was a chapel, hospital and confraternity.

It was founded as a monastery in the first half of the 16th century and its works were directed by the Bachelor of Arts Alonso de Baena. The main entrance is Plateresque and the adjacent door is Gothic with a Florentine arch.

The interior of the church consists of a single nave, in which important fragments of the 16th-century style have been preserved.
