Reloj de las Tendillas - Cordoba

A characteristic feature of the Plaza de las Tendillas is the clock inaugurated in 1961, whose chimes replace the usual bells with solo chords recorded by the flamenco guitarist Juanito Serrano.

It has become customary for the traditional celebration of the New Year's Grapes to be broadcast from our town, and every year thousands of Cordobesen throng the square and eat the twelve grapes, which correspond to the last twelve seconds of the year , to the sound of the chords of such an original clock.
