Montmeillant is a French commune with 82 inhabitants in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region. It belongs to the Rethel arrondissement, the Signy-l’Abbaye canton, and the Crêtes Préardennaises municipal association. The commune of Montmeillant is located 23 kilometers north of Rethel at the southern foothills of the Ardennes. Montmeillant is surrounded by the neighboring communes of Maranwez to the northeast, Signy-l’Abbaye to the east, La Romagne to the southwest, and Saint-Jean-aux-Bois to the northwest.
