The Napoleon Bridge is a bridge located near Luz-Saint-Sauveur in the Hautes-Pyrénées, and which spans the Gave de Gavarnie Valley. It was Napoleon III who built it between 1859 and 1863.The bridge deck is 69 meters long, 65 meters above the Gave. The supporting arch has a diameter of 42 m, the vault rests directly on the sheer rocks of the banks of the Gave. The birth of the vault is 40 meters above the Gave, the keystone is 65 meters and the bridge 3 meters above.
