Follow in the footsteps of the Dukes of Lorraine's miners and spend over an hour underground discovering an astonishing heritage dug into the granite between 1560 and 1761. In the Rouge-Montagne mine, equipped with a helmet and headlamp, you'll reach the heart of the underground network. The mine tour is complemented by a museum featuring archaeological artifacts, models and videos. Open all year round. Helmet and lighting provided - good footwear essential. Part of the mine tour is suitable for children under 5. On certain evenings during school vacations, Hautes-Mynes offers themed tours (tales and legends, discovery of bats, mining games): booking essential.
