Musée des Bombardements

Discover the remarkable collection Gérard, a military aviation enthusiast, assembled after witnessing the crash of a bomber in the Oise region when he was just 13. Since that day, he has devoted his life to the history of bombing in the département, and has even gone to meet the families of some of the missing soldiers.
The bombing museum is a window on military aviation during the Second World War. These little treasures of history were bequeathed to the Municipality of Saint-Maximin, a town 95% razed by Allied bombing in 1944, who collected them and turned them into a museum in the stone cellars that sheltered the inhabitants during the war.
