Le vase de Soissons

It's impossible to talk about Soissons without mentioning the episode of Clovis and the Vase, a place that dates back to the end of the 5th century. Today, this memory is still very much alive in the region. Here, we cultivate the art of vases! Whether architectural or floral, on signs, facades or in the shelter of gardens, its representations are omnipresent and keep the myth alive! The best-known are the "Lartigue vase" fountain at the Rond-Point des Etats-Unis and the bas-relief on the war memorial in Place Fernand Marquigny.
