Cimetière franco-allemand de Reillon

Established in the middle of a field, on the slope of a bare hillside, the Reillon cemetery is certainly, by its simplicity, its rigor, the harshness of its environment, the most impressive of all the military cemeteries in the Lunéville district
In this cemetery, which covers an area of 15450 m2, lie the bodies of 5428 German soldiers who died in the area during the two world conflicts, and of 1326 French soldiers killed between 1914 and 1918 (2 soldiers for 1939-1945). Created in 1920, following the fighting in the Vezouze sector, the necropolis brings together bodies exhumed from neighboring military cemeteries: Thiébauménil, Leintrey, Vého, Laneuveville-aux-Bois and Domèvre-sur-Vezouze. The development of the cemetery took place from 1920 to 1924, then from 1929 to 1932
The last renovation took place in 1955. Inside the cemetery, you can discover the monuments to the dead of the 223rd and 333rd R.I. (74th D.I.) who fought in the area from September 1914 to September 1916.
