Vannes-sur-Cosson has kept all the cachet of a Solognot village, with its traditional brick and timber-framed buildings carefully preserved. There are several remarkable half-timbered houses from the 17th and 18th centuries, and others made of brick from the 19th century: the Auberge de la Croix-Rouge, known as the Vieux Relais and the Auberge de la Croix-Blanche, the presbytery, and the former blacksmith's workshop. The former Café de la Gare is a reminder that Vannes was on the Loiret steam tramway line, opened in 1905.
In the heart of the village, the Saint-Martin church was rebuilt on the initiative of Pierre de Choludet, Lord of Brosseloir, in 1578. Its facade is preceded by a front porch called "caquetoire" entirely closed. The interior houses rich furniture, paintings, statues...
