An oppidum is a fortified Gallic village, usually on high ground. Excavations have revealed the remains of a long period of occupation:
- A temple (fanum) of Celtic tradition but Roman construction.
- A construction recently interpreted as a more massive temple than the fanum.
- Three walls (including two buried walls) representing 1500 years of ancient fortification history.
The SLRU d'OC association invites you to visit the "Jardin Archéologique" (Archaeological Garden): on 600 m² of flower-filled, landscaped grounds, a stroll will provide you with information about the site's history and remains, as well as more "natural" information, before taking you on a guided tour if you wish.
