This library, the oldest, has occupied the current buildings since 1905. It offers:
about 45,000 adult works: novels, documentaries, Alsatian, language method, books in German and English, magazines, newspapers, CDs and CD-ROMs; more than 16,000 children's documents: albums, novels, comics, manga, documentaries, books in German and English, magazines, CDs and CD-ROMs; 12 self-service computer stations with Internet access, office software and colour printer; a documentation room and three rooms for group work; an exhibition room; and an animation room; a heritage room reserved for the consultation of documents kept in the library's stores and which cannot be borrowed; a youth room for children and teenagers, with a space for toddlers; a break area with vending machines for drinks (hot or cold) and small snacks; a patio for reading in the sun.
