Ferme d'ingling

The farm of Ingling would have been built from the 17th century on the ruins of a hamlet destroyed during the Thirty Years War. There were some houses, a chapel and even a castle. Located between the villages of Menskirch and Chémery-les-Deux, the farm of Ingling is enthroned in the middle of the fields and presents a unique character since it has preserved a certain degree of authenticity. However, its general condition is alarming due to its progressive neglect since the 1990s.

Since the spring of 2022, the farm has been the object of a rescue program since it has changed ownership and an association was created in July 2022 to participate in its safeguard and to revive it as it was around the 1930s. The Fondation du Patrimoine certified the project in December 2022 so that the first emergency and safety work could be carried out.

The Ingling farm is visible from the small road linking Menskirch and Chémery-les-Deux but is not open to visits for the moment. Events will be organized around the history of the farm and the local history, as soon as the place is secured.
