At the top of the hill, on a heap of granite chaos, the cast iron statue of the Virgin Mary overhangs the village of Serverette. It measures 3.80 meters and weighs nearly 2050 kg. It was inaugurated on April 29, 1877. Since then, the inhabitants have kept the custom of a religious meeting at her feet every August 15. A fireworks display is held there on that day. The site is lit every night of the year since 1925. At the foot of this rock, you can enjoy a very beautiful panorama on the village of Serverette, the Truyère river and the mountains of the Margeride (reading table).
