A meeting place for bathers and families, the Barre bridge over the Tarnon, a few metres from the Florac exit, offers a very pleasant setting for your family picnics
The bridge, built in limestone and schist, is formed of two arches separated by a pier with a front peg, and its two lateral refuges which allow pedestrians to shelter from the traffic
Its first construction could date from the 12th century, it connects the roads between the eastern slopes of the Causse Méjean and those of the Can de Tardonnenche. These two limestone plateaus are indeed separated at this place by the course of the Tarnon, a tributary of the Tarn particularly abundant.
