Located in the middle of the village, discover the church of Savigny-sur-Aisne. Dating from the 15th century, this Gothic-style church is dedicated to Notre Dame de la Nativité, also known as Notre-Dame Angevine. Constructed from local materials, the exterior facades are made of yellow stone from the Authe and Dom le Mesnil quarries. The white stones used for the interior and exterior walls come from the village of Chémery. The front of the church features a magnificent flamboyant Gothic portal. The arched stained-glass windows are bordered by fine plant carvings. The sides of the arch are decorated with sculptures of Saint-Barthélemy, Saint-Jean, Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul. At the top of the peak, the sculpture of a dragon whose mission is to drive evil out of the church can be admired. Facing east, the church is built in the form of a Latin cross. The nave and heart form the longest branch, and the transept the shortest. Tours of the church are available on request from the town hall.
