The church of Saint-Privat d'Altier has been heavily modified over the years. In the 12th century, it belonged to the chapter of Mende, but was devastated in 1572 by the Protestants.
The original plan consists of a single nave of three bays, to which were added side chapels. Two chapels in the third bay are barrel-vaulted.
The bays of the church are Gothic, with their four-lobed filling.
There is also a painting representing the suffering Christ wearing a red cloak and a crown of thorns (Ecce homo).
