A professional painter since 1978, he first exhibited in Paris in 1974 at Galerie 34.
He has lived in the Creuse since 1981 and shows his paintings in his studio at La Maisonbraud in the commune of St Germain Beaupré. At the start of his career, he devoted himself to landscapes. Over the years, he has exhibited in several genres: pastel, watercolor and gouache, before moving passionately into oil painting, using brushes and knives.
His birth in Algeria and his Italian-Spanish origins spontaneously led him to color from an early age. Painting is a joie de vivre, an obsession with light, a few tubes on the palette, and the journey begins. He works with a knife, fascinated by the material.
