Gérardmer - La Bresse - Wildenstein - Le Markstein - Route des Crêtes - Le Hohneck - Route des Crêtes - La Schlucht - Returnee - Lac de Longemer - Xonrupt-Longemer - Gérardmer

Ascents: Col de Grosse Pierre (955 m) from Gérardmer (8.7 km, 355 hm, average slope 3.4% and maximum 9.3%), Col de Bramont (958 m) from La bresse (7.6 km, 322 hm, average slope 4.2% and maximum 10%), Le Markstein (1184 m) from Kruth (17.7 km, 710 hm, average slope 3.9% and maximum 10.9%), Hochneck (1364 m) from the Route des Crêtes (2nd highest point of the Vosges, 1.4 km, 111 hm, average slope 8.2% and maximum 11.8%).

Those who still have fuel in the tank can extend this walk by continuing the beautiful Route des Crêtes after the Col de La Schlucht to the Col du Calvaire, round trip 25 km more and an additional climb of the Collet (1110 m) from Le Valtin (7 km, 358 hm, average altitude difference 5.1% and maximum 8.4%): VH128GérardmerRoutedesCrêtes
