Some parts of the road cut show volcanic ashes (pyroclastic materials) containing big blocks (rocks) which are called volcanic bombs. The biggest area of pyroclastic material is not near Myrina, (although you will find a few pockets), bu tin the area of Romanou en Repanidi in the east.
