The water of this thermal spring is about 36°C. The water comes in via seepage through the roof, caused by a fault in the limestone rock. The water contains about 30% seawater, indicating that this fault is connected with the Ionian sea. You can also smell the gas hydrogen sulphide. The sulpher and the calcium reacts and creates gypsum crystals.
