These agricultural terraces show how far the inhabitants of Lefkada went to have farmland to be able to cultivate grain and other crops. Although a lot of deep and rich soils can be found here on the plateau, a lot of effort was made to collect good soil on the agricultural terraces that were built almost to the mountain pass.
