Cathedral of San Nicola di Bari - Termini Imerese

The cathedral is known as "Cattedrale di San Nicola di Bari" in Italian, named after Saint Nicholas of Myra, the patron saint of Termini .Imerese.

The original cathedral was probably built in the 14th century on the remains of an earlier Byzantine church. Over the centuries, the cathedral has undergone several renovations and extensions .

The cathedral combines several architectural styles, including Gothic, Baroque and Neoclassical . The facade has a Gothic style with a large rose window and various sculptures. A prominent feature of the cathedral is the bell tower which stands next to the main facade . The tower has a square shape and is decorated with marble details.

The interior of the cathedral is impressive with a three-nave structure. It has beautiful frescoes, paintings, marble altars and sculptures. The high altar is dedicated to Saint Nicholas of Bari.
