Rosmolen Zeddam

The Rosmolen Zeddam is a rosmolen on the Bovendorpsstraat in the village of Zeddam in the municipality of Montferland in the province Gelderland.De rosmolen was built in 1546 as an addition to and opposite the already existing Grafelijke windmill, commissioned by the then owners, the counts van den Bergh. The counts leased the mill to the miller of the tower mill who used it when there was too little wind. In the milling, the horse of the grain offering farmer was then used. In 1866 the mill was sold and demolished. In 1974, the mill was rebuilt with the help of construction drawings that had been preserved in the archive of Huis Bergh. The mill is owned by the Oswaldusgilde Foundation, it is part of a complete milling company that works with both wind drive and horsepower.
