The Mauritshuis contains quite some paintings of the famous painter Vermeer.
Edward Dolnick describes in his book 'The Forgers Spell' how the chief judge of the Yugoslav War Crimes tribunal was aked by a journalist how he could cope with all the horor. He replied that during lunch hur he hurried to the Mauritshuis Museum to spend a little time with the Vermeers.
