The Zwin is a Dutch nature reserve at the mouth of the Westerschelde, between Cadzand-Bad, Retranchement and the border with Belgium. Het Zwin is owned by Stichting Het Zeeuwse Landschap. The area has an area of 75 hectares and also includes the Kievittepolder. These two areas together form one Natura 2000 area with the name Zwin & Kievittepolder according to the Government Gazette and Zwin and Kievittepolder according to the webpage of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. The area includes the Dutch part of a once economically and politically important estuary called Zwin. The much larger Belgian part is, under the name Zwin Nature Park, also a nature reserve.
