The Jacobus Groenewoud park along the Rijnkade near the John Frost Bridge. The square is named after the Arnhem resistance fighter, later Captain in the Infantry, who was shot here by a sniper. The most striking object in this square is the Canadian 25-pound artillery piece. This was not used in the Battle of Arnhem, as the piece is not air transportable. The text of the inscription is:
"A stone with a badge, a name, a date buried here, brothers, friends and mate they fought their battles to free us all till the bugle sounded their last call."
