The Smockelaer is charmingly housed in a completely stylishly restored square farmhouse made of antique field stones from the eighteenth century.
Located in the southernmost part of the hilly area, South Limburg, atop the slopes of the Geul valley, northeast of Slenaken and 250 meters from the Belgian border.
The name of the Auberge is inspired by the romance of the former smuggling practices in the border area.
