Slot Zeist is a seventeenth-century castle in the Dutch municipality of Zeist, built as a pleasure palace for Willem Adriaan van Nassau. The castle was designed by architect Jacobus Roman. It is surrounded by an English landscape park and the Brother and Sister Square.
The territory on which the castle was built was mentioned in 1165 as the property of a certain Godefridus van Seyst, without mention of a house. In 1536, there is a reference to a building when "that house at Seyst, free own property" is recognized by the States of Utrecht as a knight's court city.
