Saint Vitus Church

The Sint-Vituskerk is a Roman Catholic church building with the status of municipal monument at Kerklaan 17 in the Dutch town of Blaricum.The nave of the church was enlarged in 1936 by C.A. Hardeman. In 2004, the interior was renovated, "opening" the three bricked-up stained glass in the apse. The wooden Pieta statue in the church dates from 1466. The oldest object in the church is a monstrance from 1646. The Maarschalkerweerdorgel from 1874 was thoroughly restored in 1995. The stained glass windows were made by Jan Oosterman, the statue of Saint Vitus dates from the 17th and 18th centuries. The statue of Our Lady of Fátima stands in front of the church. On Sacrament Day, a sacrament procession is held in the parsonage garden next to the church. The silent tour at the Blaricum Remembrance Day on 4 May starts from the Sint Vituskerk.
