Vineyard St. Martinus location Kalkberg (Marek)

History
The vineyard was planted in 2009. On about 1.5 hectares there are 6,000 vines of classic and resistant varieties.
Grape varieties and wine varieties
Planted varieties are Solaris, Johanniter, Muscaris, Souvignon Gris, Cabernet Cortis.
Terroir
On the calcareous grasslands around the vineyard, visitors will find special limestone flora and fauna, there is a microclimate with the right water management and the right
soil composition.
Landscape and climate
Located on a southern slope in the village of Ransdaal, municipality of Voerendaal.
Wine process
The entire winemaking process is in the hands of Wijngaard St. Martinus in Vijlen. The grapes are picked by hand, then transported to Vijlen where the process
of winemaking.
Vineyard St. Martinus at the Kalkberg location is part of Route des Vins Winthagen.
