Features: a field oven standing on an elevation against the dike, consisting of two parallel brick walls approximately 20 m long, 1.30 m thick and about 5 m high, with firing holes made at ground level and at regular intervals.

The remainder of an old field oven from 1872. It is the oldest type of oven in the brick industry and the last of its kind in the municipality of Ubbergen. Remnants of the walls of the field oven have been preserved. Eight firing holes, closed off by a double segment arch, are present at ground level in the oven walls. Through the firing holes, burning turf was thrown inside with long shovels. The bricks were stacked in such a way that passageways remained for firing. The top of the stacked bricks was covered with sod. After three weeks of firing, the bricks were baked. The oven was in use until 1900, after which the adjacent ring oven was put into operation.
