Bunker with lookout point

Throughout the area, there are as many as 400 bunkers. Built by Nazi Germany in the
Second World War. Once, the concrete bunkers were part of the
Atlantic Wall: a massive defensive line from Norway to the Pyrenees.
Constructed along the West European coast to prevent an invasion by the Allies.
Today, the dark spaces provide a warm home for animals
such as bats. Some bunkers are open, and those who dare can crawl inside on their hands
and knees. Tip: bring a good flashlight. The flashlight
on a phone is too weak. At the bottom of the hill, there is a beautiful
viewpoint over the water.
As you continue on your way, look around for the stunning webs of caterpillars
in the trees. The mating season is in full swing.
