This varied walk of about 12 kilometers starts at Landal Strand Resort Ouddorp Duin and leads you directly towards the sea. As soon as you leave the park, you walk onto the wide beach, where the salty sea air and the sound of the waves set the tone for the first kilometers. The beach offers plenty of space and tranquility; at low tide, you can comfortably walk on the firm sand with the North Sea to your right and the first rows of dunes to your left.

After a few kilometers, you leave the beach and head inland into the dunes of Goeree. Here, the landscape visibly changes: rolling dunes, dune pans, and a rich variety of plants and birds make this area special. The paths wind through a peaceful and rugged nature reserve where you feel far from the inhabited world.

The highlight of the route is the nature reserve de Kwade Hoek, a unique and dynamic tidal landscape. Salt marshes, mudflats, and creeks define the scenery here. This vulnerable area is partly only accessible via marked paths, which contributes to the unspoiled atmosphere. With a bit of luck, you may spot seals, spoonbills, or other unusual bird species here.

The return journey takes you through the sheltered dunes and along Meinderswaal, where the landscape opens up and you have beautiful views over the dune valleys. The quiet paths make this stage pleasant and provide a nice contrast to the open beach at the beginning of the walk.

After approximately 12 kilometers, you return to Landal Strand Resort Ouddorp Duin, with a head full of impressions and a body that has enjoyed being active. A walk that naturally connects sea, beach, and dunes, offering a beautiful picture of the diverse nature of Goeree-Overflakkee.
