Norway

Norway is very close to 'Heaven on Earth' as a holiday destination, and that's not just because of the beautiful landscapes you can admire there. With huge oil reserves and barely five million inhabitants, it is one of the richest countries in the world. While the rest of Europe was struggling under the economic crisis in 2009, Norway's GDP rose by 9% in the same year. You wonder if there is even a Norwegian word for 'frugality'. Of course, Norway is primarily a land of clichés. Fjords, Vikings, trolls, glaciers, Edvard Munch's The Scream, oil, midsummer night, and a lot of fish. Perhaps that's why not many motorcyclists visit this country; a motorcyclist does not like clichés. Norway is also not really a transit country and has a coastline of no less than 25,000 kilometers. A journey through this area, dotted with islands, therefore requires some effort and planning.
