Vernonia High School is a public high school located in Vernonia, Oregon. In the wake of severe flooding in 2007, Columbia County voters approved a $13 million bond in 2009 to build a new high school in Vernonia. The new school, now a K-12 school, was completed during the summer of 2012 at a cost $40 million. The new building was built above the flood plain to prevent future flooding.
