Neusiedl am See es una ciudad localizada en el Distrito de Neusiedl am See, estado de Burgenland, Austria. Se encuentra en la orilla noreste del Lago Neusiedl.
La primera mención de "Sumbotheil" se remonta a 1209. En la mitad del siglo XIII, la ciudad fue destruida por los mongoles, y por el año 1282 bajo el nombre de "Niusidel" reasentados. En 1517 Neusiedl recibió los derechos del mercado. Neusiedl en 1683 fue a raíz del segundo Asedio Turco, y en 1708 la ciudad fue devastada por el Kuruc. Neusiedl am See recibió una carta de la ciudad en 1926, que ya había sido investigado en 1824.
