Bru es un agua mineral efervescente que ya era utilizada en el siglo XVII por los monjes de la abadía de Stavelot. Embotellaron el agua con gas natural. Debido a su muy bajo contenido de sal, Bru es excelente con la comida porque no altera el sabor. En el siglo I d.C., Plinio el Viejo ya escribía sobre las misteriosas fuentes de las Ardenas. Probablemente también incluía la fuente de Bru.
