Esta ruta recibe su nombre del padre del conocido escritor Herman Teirlinck: el hombre de campo y literato Isidoor Teirlinck de Zegelsem. Esta es una de las submunicipalidades de Brakel, una localidad rica en fuentes y bosques en el extremo sur de nuestra provincia. Estamos aquí en la región de los geutelingen, una especie de tortitas gruesas, vertidas sobre la placa de fondo de un horno extremadamente caliente. El recorrido es ondulado, con algunos duros desafíos de la Ronda de Flandes.
