La tregua de Navidad fue una serie de treguas no oficiales que ocurrieron a lo largo del Frente Occidental alrededor de Navidad de 1914, durante la Primera Guerra Mundial. Antes de Navidad, soldados alemanes y británicos comenzaron a intercambiar saludos y canciones navideñas entre sus trincheras: A veces hablaban con sus compañeros y se daban regalos. En la noche de Navidad y el primer día de Navidad, el "tierra de nadie" se convirtió en un lugar de intercambio de comida y recuerdos. Se llevaron a cabo ceremonias fúnebres conjuntas y diversos encuentros terminaron en cantos de villancicos. Las tropas incluso organizaron partidos de fútbol entre sí. Esta tregua es a menudo vista como un momento simbólico de paz y humanidad en medio de uno de los eventos más violentos de la historia moderna.
