Anteriormente, la gente iba a la iglesia a través de una hermosa alameda de tilos. Pero el mal mantenimiento y los daños causados por vientos huracanados han destrozado la alameda; fue renovada y replantada en 2009. La primera piedra de la iglesia se puso en 1750. El campanario, en estilo neorrománico, data de 1899. El conocido fabricante de órganos M. van Peteghem construyó el órgano en 1864.
