La granja fue en su tiempo la sede de una señoría que en el siglo XVI fue vendida por Jean de Houssoy a la familia Salmier. Desde 1929 es gestionada por la familia Ans. La torre se encuentra a la izquierda de la parte habitable y da al paisaje. Este donjon, una imponente masa cuadrada con muros de más de un metro de grosor, está construida con piedra partida de arenisca ferroso, material que se encontró in situ. La torre del castillo de cuatro pisos solía tener un techo de pizarra. Cuenta con una serie de pequeñas ventanas cuadradas rodeadas de piedra dura, y se accede a través de una puerta de arco. En la Edad Media, la torre cuadrada, junto con la granja y sus fortificaciones, servía como protección para los habitantes de Houssoy.
