Fundado en 1242 por Alix de Rosoit, el hospital Notre-Dame-à-la-Rose, gestionado por una comunidad de hermanos y hermanas sometidos a la regla de San Agustín, estaba destinado a acoger a los pobres, peregrinos y enfermos.
Los edificios, de estilo renacentista y articulados alrededor de un claustro gótico, albergan hoy un museo que ilustra tanto la vida de la comunidad religiosa como los cuidados materiales, espirituales y médicos (historia y evolución de la farmacia, de la medicina y de las condiciones de hospitalización...) que esta comunidad dispensó a los enfermos desde 1242 hasta 1980. El visitante también podrá descubrir la granja, los jardines, el cementerio y el pozo de hielo.
Beneficiándose de fondos europeos, una restauración de gran envergadura se concluyó en 2011-2012.
