Overmere es una aldea en la provincia belga de Flandes Oriental y una subcomuna de Berlare, ubicada en el triángulo Gante-Aalst-Lokeren.
En 1331, Overmere formó un feudo junto con Uitbergen. Inicialmente estuvo en posesión de los señores de Dendermonde y más tarde de los condados de Flandes. Estos últimos lo otorgaron sucesivamente en feudo a la casa de Massemen en los siglos XIV y XV, a la familia du Bois en el siglo XVI, a la familia van Coudenhove en el siglo XVII y a las familias de Lannoy de Hautpont, de Croy de Beaurainville, van Roosendael y de Heuvel en los siglos XVII y XVIII.
