Froidfontaine es un lugar y una comuna de la municipalidad belga de Beauraing. Hasta el 1 de enero de 1977 fue una comuna independiente. El lugar se encuentra en una colina en la provincia de Namur, en el centro del Pays des Vallées; a poca distancia de la frontera francesa. Esta es la zona donde la frontera francesa sigue al Mosa. Por ello, tanto el estado belga como el estado francés han invertido poco en infraestructura, y la naturaleza y la vida rural siguen siendo muy auténticas. Los viejos árboles frutales que hay por todo el pueblo le dan a la aldea, en invierno y durante la floración en primavera, su carácter particular.
