Bost es una aldea en la provincia belga de Brabante Flamenco y una parte del municipio de Tienen. Bost fue un municipio independiente hasta la reorganización municipal de 1970. La mención más antigua del pueblo hace referencia, entre otros, al señor Walterus dictus de Bost y Mertini de Bost. El nombre es etimológicamente comparable, entre otros, con Bossuit y Bossut. El nombre proviene del germánico buksothu, un colectivo de buks, que se deriva del latino buxus, con evolución germánica. Por lo tanto, el toponímico Bost se puede explicar como una colección de bucetos.
