Uitbergen es una aldea en la provincia belga de Flandes Oriental y un municipio de Berlare. Su superficie es de 6,48 km². En la fusión con Berlare en 1977, había 1.605 habitantes. El Donkmeer se encuentra parcialmente en Uitbergen. Uitbergen es uno de los pueblos más antiguos en la región de Dendermonde. Aún no se encuentra en un mapa del año 879, hecho bajo el gobierno de Boudewijn con el Brazo de Hierro y su esposa Judith. Sin embargo, un documento del emperador Lothario, datado en 966 y que aparece en el Cartulario de la Abadía de San Bavo, lo menciona bajo el nombre de Villa Bergina, como parte de los bienes de la abadía.
