La Fondry des Chiens es una dolina, un fenómeno kárstico. La Fondry se encuentra en la región de Fagne-Famenne, conocida por sus capas de caliza. Alrededor de la dolina hay una gran pradera de hierba calcárea. Las praderas de hierba calcárea son uno de los pocos lugares donde crecen orquídeas silvestres en Bélgica. Entre otras, aquí se puede encontrar la orquídea macho. Anteriormente, también se extrajo mineral de hierro aquí, lo que se puede notar por el color rojo de la roca que está presente en la Fondry.
