Antigua abadía cisterciense, hoy castillo de Hocht.
La abadía de Sint-Agatha de Hocht es una fundación de Diederik van Lodenaken, señor de Pietersheim, alrededor de 1180.
Las cistercienses de Hocht evolucionan gradualmente hacia una regla de vida más secular. Desde la primera mitad del siglo XVII se les llama de nobleza. En 1622, como medida contra la debilitación de la disciplina, se construye un muro de 1 km alrededor del monasterio.
La abadía estaba originalmente cerca del Mosa. Un acceso la unía con el castillo de Pietersheim. Al este, en la primera mitad del siglo XIX, se construye el Zuid-Willemsvaart. Debido a la creación del canal de conexión del canal Alberto al Zuid-Willemsvaart, al noroeste del castillo, la propiedad también queda aislada de su conexión natural con Pietersheim.
