La iglesia de San Miguel, San Cornelio y San Ghisleno es la iglesia parroquial de Machelen-aan-de-Leie. Se menciona por primera vez en 1163. El interior de la iglesia es uno de los más bellos de la región. La gran peregrinación que se organiza anualmente a principios de julio es conocida como 'Machelen Gulde'. Antiguamente, 'Machelen Gulde' atraía a decenas de miles de peregrinos, pero después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, la popularidad de esta peregrinación disminuyó drásticamente. Sin embargo, sigue siendo una gran fiesta popular. Alrededor de la iglesia también hay un hermoso y restaurado camino de ronda.
