Este silo de maíz fue el primer edificio de hormigón que se construyó en Zulte. Fue diseñado como almacén de granos para la cervecería 'Anglo Belge' en Zulte. Desde aquí se suministró a más de 70 cervecerías y destilerías de la región. Durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, durante la Batalla del Lys, el edificio sufrió graves daños. En 1971, se detuvieron todas las actividades económicas y el edificio industrial se convirtió en lofts privados.
En estas remodelaciones se conservaron las marcas de balas como recuerdo de lo que aquí sucedió.
